Two Southeast Companies are Helping Advance Energy Crop Systems

North Carolina-based REPREVE® RENEWABLES is offering a unique program to grow giant miscanthus grass for renewable product solutions. They are bringing the ACCU YIELD™ System to locations in North Carolina and throughout the United States (including Iowa) and demonstrating their planting systems for giant miscanthus grass for commercial biomass production.  Meanwhile, Tennessee-based Genera Energy Inc. has announced a 14 percent reduction in harvest costs utilizing Genera’s recently demonstrated in-field harvesting operations.  On the receiving end, unload time for bulk harvested material improved 21 percent over the previous harvest.
